Communication break down
One these days one friend of mine was talking about her boyfriend. She did not sound very happy. They were passing some problems but I did not dare to ask what. Somehow she wanted my view of things without exposing herself and her bf. So let make some conjectures.
Couples in general pass some sort of problems. One of the very usual one is the financial problem. This can consume time and energy, making the couple to get apart. It may lead them to give up of some of their needs and so on. It is indeed a very complex problem but for sure was not their case as they do not live together, they are young from reasonably “good” families. However, when it takes place, I do believe that this can be solved with the share of responsibilities and good communication.
The other common problem is jealousy. This is also complex and dangerous. I am not specialized to give advises on that, but I do believe that this can be solve with patience and transparence. Another day I will write a bit more it, and I may expose myself a bit.
Another very common difficulty are external driven forces. It is not very unusual that a couple suffers from negative external forces. For instance, it is common that the family does not agree with the relationship for several reasons as financial, professional, or simply with no reason! Family is complex, and they can really interfere. I think it was the case of my friend but I do not know the origins as I do not know the guy. Her family sounds ok for me, but it was not a deep contact. This is not easy to handle but with some good communication skills it is possible.
Last but not least, the most serious problem a couple can pass is the communication problem itself, in my (not so much) humble opinion. Most of the other problems can be overcome with proper communication and time. Both in their whole dimension. This is the main point, and in the case of my friend it sounds that they are passing a communication break down. Therefore, it is almost impossible to solve any, even little, difficulty that comes through.
